Alpha is an upcoming Hollywood drama adventure movie set in the last Ice Age. The plot follows an injured young man left to death after a Steppe bison hunting expedition 20,000 years ago in Europe during the Upper Paleolithic period. He awakes to find himself broken and alone. The young man learns to survive and navigate the harsh and unforgiving wilderness, and reluctantly tames a lone injured wolf abandoned by its pack. They learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and overwhelming odds in order to find their way home before the deadly winter arrives. This forges the tentative first bond between man and canine.
