India vs Sri Lanka | Smog Issue

The third test match between India and Sri Lanka took off on December 2nd, 2017 at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla cricket ground. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Indian batsmen piled up runs on day 1 and were set to post a huge total on the scoreboard. Ideally India would’ve looked to bat only once in this match by posting a mammoth total and try to clinch the match by bundling out Sri Lanka twice.

Sri Lankan players were seen wearing masks just after lunch on day 2 to avoid exposing themselves to smog. India had to declare the innings after the match was stopped several times by Sri Lankan players complaining about the smog. They were suddenly seen struggling in those conditions.
